Ward Christmas Party

I just got home a while ago from our ward's Christmas party. It was pretty fun. Unfortunately Cory has not been feeling well today and he stayed home and rested. :( I feel bad he missed out on good food and fun.
I still went so that they boys could see Santa. Both Jovin and Mayer were excited to go see him. And I was not in the mood to fix dinner. :) Luckily I have some wonderful friends in the ward that helped me out with the boys during the dinner.
Then it was time for Santa. Jovin waited in line patiently and went right up with no problems. I thought I'd be smart and sneak Mayer in with Jovin and get a cute picture... Well that didn't work to well. Mayer freaked out. (keep in mind he is getting over being sick himself and has been a BIG Momma's Boy lately. Not to mention he is like every other kid that age that likes Santa on the TV and movies but freaks out when they see him in person.) So my friend put Pierce in Santa's lap since Mayer wouldn't go there and she took the picture of all of us. Yeah it was an interesting experience needless to say.
I sure felt bad for Santa... He had Jovin squirming and Mayer screaming, and Pierce trying to pull his beard off.
Oh, and to make things even funnier all Jovin asked for was a candy cane cause he saw that is what Santa was giving out to the kids. :) At least I know he got what he asked for from Santa this year.

Blah

I'm sure all of you are sick of pulling up our blog and seeing my ugly mug looking back at you. I sure am... so here are some pics of the boys until I get around to updating about our boring lives. :)

Lighter

I've been wanting a change for my look for a while now. I've always wanted to go blonde but have been too scared to try. Cory has been trying to tell me to try something a little bit different with my hair and maybe just add highlights to my color. Well I got adventurous the other day and when I went and got my hair done I asked for highlights. So the lady is washing the dye out of my hair and kind of gasps... which totally freaked me out! I of course start to thing the worst case possible... My hair fell out and I'm bald now. She reassured me that my hair was still on my head but it went a little bit lighter than I wanted.
I started to breathe again and thought, "okay so a little bit lighter would be okay. No big deal." She put the towel on my hair to dry it off and spun the chair around to face the mirror so I could see what it looked like. All I saw was blonde. I was totally speechless and those of you who know me... that's hard to do. She told me that the color would be even lighter as it dried. I almost started to panic, this was one of my fears, to be blonde and look really stupid. So she continued to dry and style my hair and the more I saw it I liked it.
I was a little bit worried about what Cory and the boys would think of it though. Cory really seems to like it, Jovin and Pierce didn't really have a problem, but Mayer wouldn't come to me at first. Cory says it was because he was groggy, but I think it was the hair.
I'm still not used to being so blonde. Whenever I go by a mirror and catch a glimpse of myself I have to do a double take cause it is so different. I LOVE it though. ;)

Halloween 2008

Well it has yet again taken me a LONG time to post something... At least something with pictures.

So for Halloween Jovin wanted to be Diego from Nickelodeon's Go, Diego Go. Mayer was Darth Vader (he wouldn't wear the hat), Pierce was a cow, Cory was a Ninjaneer, and I went as Major Margaret Houlihan. (Sorry no pic's of that I didn't look that good.)

Pierce as a cow... he didn't like the costume.

Little Photographer

Every time I get the camera out to take pictures of the boys Jovin always asks to take a picture. Well I finally let him do it. We put the strap around his neck so if he dropped the camera it wouldn't hit the ground. With just the first few pictures that he took he did pretty good. He was really excited to see that if he pushed the button whatever he pointed the camera at it would stay on the screen. You gotta love the instant gratification from digital cameras. :) Here are some of the pictures that Jovin took. :)

This last one is on here cause Jovin wanted a picture of me and him together. :) (I took this one.)

Pierce's Blessing

Well I feel like I'm finally getting caught up on things happening in our lives... just you watch though, now that I've put that saying out there in the universe I'm gonna get way behind again.

Cory blessed Pierce two Sunday's ago. The outfit was a little tight on him so I took it off right after the blessing. I then kept forgetting to put it back on him for a picture. Well here we are two weeks later and I finally did it. I'm glad I did. It was even tighter this time, I can only imagine if I had waited longer I wouldn't have been able to get it on him. :)

Here he is in all his cuteness!

Go Fish...

So the other day I was playing around with a deck of cards and Jovin asked if he could play with me. So I decided to teach him how to play Go Fish. I remember playing Go Fish with my Mom and Grandparents. The antisipation of asking for the last card in a match up and getting if from them was so monumental... I was getting excited to teach
Jovin this game so he could experience this too.
So I started off explaining the game and how to ask for cards and if I don't have what he asked for I will tell him to "go fish" and he is to take the top card off the deck. Then it would be my turn to ask him and so on...
As we start playing the game Jovin is starting to understand how it works... but then he realized that being told to "go fish" meant that I did not have the card he was looking for and he needed to pull from the deck and get some random card that he really didn't want. So then it started to escalate to the point when I would tell him to "go fish" he would put his head in his hands or on the floor and cry and tell me to stop telling him to "go fish". The crying would go on for a few minutes and he didn't want to continue to play.
I had to keep persuading him to continue to play and next time ask me for a different card. When he did finally get a match of four cards he was thrilled and wanted the game to be over.
When it was my turn I asked him for his 6's and he started to cry again and said that he didn't want to give them to me cause he wanted to get all the 6's. I had to explain that if I asked for a type of card that he had he needed to give them to me so that the game would be fair. Obviously he didn't like that idea.
Needless to say I stayed with it and we did finish the game. Although it was the LONGEST game of Go Fish that I have EVER played.
Oh, and now if I suggest to play it he tells me, "okay Momma, but don't tell me to go fish anymore..."

The Many Faces of Pierce

Well I realized that it has been over a month sine I posted a picture of Pierce. He is SO cute! I know I'm totally biased and all, but he has the best facial expressions for a 2 month old. And these aren't even half of the expressions that I get all day long. Now the pictures are in chronological order so the top was about a month ago and the last was a couple of days ago... ENJOY!

I don't know if you noticed but most of these he seems to be scowling at the camera, or well me actually I get that look most of the day... I'm not quite sure what that is about.

Table Buddies

Well, we finally got Mayer out of his highchair. We got him a booster seat and he now can eat right next to Jovin. Mayer was really excited the first time they had lunch together. Then later that night they had a food fight with each other. Cory then asked me if we really want to have Mayer out of the highchair or not. It has been a couple of weeks now and they are doing a lot better. It keeps the mess to at least one side of the table.
This is Mayer feeding himself a yogurt. Boy doesn't he look proud of himself?? Yeah, he got a bath right after this picture was taken cause the yogurt was EVERYWHERE!!!

Saturday at the Zoo

So it has been a long time since I have posted anything... I know I'm terrible! We have done some exciting things.
We went to the zoo one Saturday and Jovin got to ride on the merry-go-round. He was so excited to finally go on it, and I took him up to pick an animal to ride on and he got scared. Why? Well it didn't help that every animal on the stupid merry-go-round looked as if it was ready to eat you. They all had their mouths open and teeth barred. When I would try and suggest and animal to sit on he told me they were "scary". I finally got around to the side with the giraffe. Luckily he didn't look ready to eat us and I got him on it. Unfortunately he didn't go up and down. He was the ONLY one that didn't move. Oh well, Jovin was so distracted by the other animals surrounding him he didn't notice that he wasn't going up and down. He finally really started to enjoy the ride by the time it was over... hopefully next time he will pick one that isn't too scary for him and he can go up and down while spinning around.

Then the boys (Cory, Jovin and Mayer) spent some time in a big play house with slides at he zoo while I fed Pierce.

We went pretty early to the zoo that day so by 10ish it was over 100 degrees so we went home to cool off.

Breaking Dawn Baby!!!

So yeah, if most of you don't know by now I'm a HUGE Twilight fan!! Okay so I'm a little OCD about it... :) Well I went to a Breaking Dawn Vampire Prom Midnight Party at our local Barnes & Noble. I took one of my young women with me cause she really wanted the book as bad as I did and we couldn't wait until Saturday morning to get the book. My good friends Angie and Becca came and joined in the fun too. (BTW - it was Angie's idea to go and get our arms painted with apples on them...) I just wanted the book... But, thanks Angie and Becca for coming along and making it fun.

I read it and had it finished by Sunday evening. It was the best of the series. I really enjoyed it and I HIGHLY recommend anyone who hasn't read it to do so...

Just an Update...

Well as you can see all three boys are alive, healthy, and happy... (okay so Pierce doesn't look all too happy in this picture, but can you blame him... a 3 year old is holding him.)

So I have been surviving pretty well the past 3 weeks with the boys. I have even ventured out to the store with all three by myself and I didn't leave anyone behind like I was afraid that I would. Now I'm not saying that three kids are easy or anything, but so far, it hasn't been as terrifying as I thought it would be.

Jovin is a real help. He gets diapers, and if Pierce or Mayer are crying he will give either one a binky or blanket and tell them that "they are okay, and to calm down." He's such a great big brother. Mayer is doing surprisingly well, he likes to go up to Pierce while he is in the bouncer and talk to him. It's pretty cute.

Pierce Ryan Killpack

On Tuesday, July 8th we welcomed Pierce Ryan Killpack into our family. He was 8 lbs 6 oz, and 21 inches long.
We went into the hospital to induce labor at 7:00am. They started me on Pitocin and they then broke my water around 11:00am. I ended up having him at 4:20pm. I started pushing around 4:00 and on my second push they told me to stop cause he was ready to come out and the doctor wasn't there yet. As soon as the doctor came in I gave another push and out he came. Yeah, I was pretty happy that this delivery went a lot smoother and quicker than the last two.

Cory's Mom came down to take care of Jovin and Mayer while we were in the hospital and help out the rest of the week. They came to the hospital the next day and Jovin was really excited to meet Pierce. Mayer was a little indifferent, but he really enjoyed running around the hospital room. We came home Wednesday night.
The boys have been really wonderful with Pierce. Jovin loves to hold him and Mayer will stand by the bouncer and talk to him. Cory's Mom went home a day early cause his sister Natasha had an emergency appendectomy Thursday morning. Luckily she is okay and doing better. But we had to say goodbye to Mom a day early. We were really bummed about that. We do appreciate her coming down to help and play with us.

So we are surviving pretty good on our own right now, but we'll see how I do by myself come Monday. It should be pretty interesting. :)

They Say it's Your Birthday...

Well on Wednesday Jovin turned 3!!! He has been waiting for his birthday to come for a long time. Mainly since Mayer's birthday. He got to open presents at 6:30am and pretty much eat whatever he wanted and whenever he wanted all day long.

That evening we had a combined birthday party for Jovin and his friend Lindy. It was a lot of fun. Jovin and Lindy are HUGE SpongeBob SquarePants fans so the whole party was themed after him.
