Growing Up

Okay so I've been like the BIGGEST slacker EVER about blogging lately. So here's the latest.

4 kids under the age of 4 1/2 is really hard. I'm not gonna lie and sugar coat things. It's hard. But, it will get easier. At least that is what I tell myself about 100 times a day. Okay make that 101 for today, Mayer just dumped the goldfish crackers all over the floor and Pierce just walked in them... It will get easier, It will get easier...

Anywho, I took Pierce and Tjay in for their check-ups. Doing that with 4 kids whoa! Not fun. They both needed shots, and Jovin and Mayer kept trying to get out of the doctor's office.

Pierce is doing great. He's now 20 months old and weighs, 31 pounds (93%), and is 36 inches tall (98%)! He's is talking and doing everything he can to drive Momma up the wall by pretending to not listen to what I ask him to do. He's a cute little stinker.

Tjay is doing great. He's 3 months old now and weights, 15 pounds (90%), and is 25 1/2 inches long (90%). He loves it when his brothers talk to him and he LOVES being held. He'll snuggle with you all day if you let him. :) He has the cutest smile and laugh now. He is also sleeping a good 6 to almost 7 hours at night. (Now watch I just ruined my good luck.)

Just so you know... Mayer is turning 3 this week, and loves to play on the computer and wii. Also, along with Pierce the whole pretending to not listen. Why they think it is funny. I'll never understand.

Jovin is 4 1/2 and just got glasses. He was having a hard time seeing things and tilting his head to focus. So he has joined the club of 4 eyes. :) He can't wait to start school this August either. Like Mayer he LOVES playing the wii and computer, and helping Momma whenever she'll let him. :)

Well that's it for now... Hopefully I'll be better at this. (We'll see...)

Halloween 2009

Our new ward had their "Trunk or Treat" last night. So the boys got to wear their Halloween costumes a little early this year.

Jovin LOVES to play Mario Kart on the Wii and he is REALLY good at it. So this Halloween when I asked him what he wanted to dress up as I shouldn't have been surprised that he wanted to be Mario. He then talked Mayer into being Luigi. I know it would have been more appropriate to have Jovin as Luigi since he is taller but since he is older and actually cares about dressing up as someone for Halloween I didn't push the issue.

They were a hit at the ward party. Everyone including the other kids loved that Mario and Luigi were there. Eeyore was a hit too. Pierce was just too cute as my little Eeyore. :)

Much thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Johnson for finding overalls that will fit the boys and helping get their costumes ready. With us moving and living down here in Phoenix overalls were hard to find. :)

Pierce Turns 1!!

Our cute 1 year old!

Well today our little/big Chunkers turned 1. I can't believe it has been a year already. I'm realizing now with him being my 3rd and being pregnant with my 4th that time is flying by already!!

Well Pierce had a pretty good day. He got to do pretty much what he wanted except for the times Mayer pushed him down or Jovin stole his toy. But other than that I think he enjoyed his 1st birthday.

I've come to the conclusion to just do cupcakes for their 1st birthday... They're just gonna poke at it and not eat it anyway. Jovin and Mayer wouldn't have anything to do with their 1st birthday cakes.

Boy was I wrong. See I seemed to forget that Pierce will eat just about anything. He devoured his cupcake. He loved every bite and second of it.

We are so lucky to have Pierce in our lives. He is such a wonderful spirit. He's a VERY happy baby... VERY mellow too. The only time he gets fussy is if he's really hungry or really tired. (or Mayer pushes him down... that just started this week.) Jovin and Mayer are always excited to play with him when he wakes up, and they love to help me and Cory teach him to walk... which he is doing now btw... he's just not wanting to do it much, but he can. :)

Happy Birthday Pierce, we sure love you!! :)

Sunday Best

It's not that often that I can get a picture of the boys, all dressed up and cute, before we rush out the door to get to church on time. Actually, Cor took these pictures while I was trying to finish getting ready. Aren't they handsome!?! I'm not sure why Pierce is fully dressed and in the baby tub, you'll have to ask Cor about that. :)

New Things Happening

Jovin has really been into playing Mario Kart on the wii. He used to only do the battles cause you don't have to stay on a set course. He can now do the races too. He's gotten really good at it. He begs me daily and multiple times a day to play.

Pierce is doing GREAT sitting on his own. I would always start him out with the boppy around him cause he's so chunky that if he just started to lean a direction he'd fall right over. Well now he immediately rolls off the boppy and goes and sits himself up somewhere else and plays with toys. I took the hint today and not once used the boppy. He did great. Caught him self twice and once really smacked his head, but Jovin was jumping to make him laugh so he didn't cry too much. :)

Mayer got a new hair cut the other day. I miss his curls, but it was getting SO long that it was time for a trim. He looks older to me, but that could also be because he turns 2 tomorrow. :)

Pierce is pretty much crawling. More still scooting around backwards but he has made it forward a couple of times. He is all over the place and getting suck places now too. Oh the joys. It was funny the first day he figured that he could move around I had him in the boppy on the floor and I went in the kitchen to start lunch when I came back in the living room I couldn't find him. I started to panic, I know he couldn't walk out the door but how do you loose a kid in a house!?! Jovin then started laughing at me cause I was walking from room to room calling out "Chunkers where are you?" and Jovin laughed and said, "Momma he's stuck by the couch" while pointing to the spot where Pierce had wedged himself between the wall and the couch. He just BARELY fit. :) I walked past him like 3 times and didn't hear him or see him.

This really isn't a "new" thing but it was cute. I tried to get a picture of him asleep at the end of his nap but I woke him up. Oops!

My Little Guys

So I'm tired of having my little gripe session about my birthday be the thing that pulls up on our blog so time for something new... so here are some pictures of the boys that I took today. Enjoy! :)

Jovin, Pierce, and Mayer actually all looking at the camera and smiling.

The Chunk

I took Pierce in for his 6 month check up and well... they pretty much confirmed that he is a big baby. So his nick name we have for him is totally appropriate. "Chunk" or "Chunkers" or we just tell him to do the truffle shuffle. :) (I know we are a bunch of nerds.)

He weighs 24 pounds, and he is 29 1/4" long, which puts him in the 99th percentile for his age. It's not surprising to me though he is in 18 month clothing and people at stores think he is 9 months to a year old. :)

While I'm being the bragging mother... he's doing well on eating solids, he rolls over and scoots everywhere. OH, and best of all, (and I know I'm jinxing myself by putting this out there in the universe) he is sleeping through the night. :) Yea!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub....

Three boys in a tub! :)

Utah Trip (part 3)

On the 29th we went to the Children's Museum. It was a lot of fun. The boys really didn't want to leave at all. I think Jovin's favorite part was the grocery store. He loves to go shopping with me and buy the food. So he thought it was so neat that he could do it on his own. Mayer really enjoyed the big building blocks he would pick up a shape and carry it around yelling what shape it was. Pierce really didn't care much for it, but I think that was more cause he is 5 1/2 months old and really just likes to be held and fed. :)

Utah Trip (part 2)

Mayer and Jovin enjoying to finally be in the snow

On the 27th we were with my family and we decided to go down town and see the temple lights. I think we just wanted to make a better memory than the one of two years ago and Jovin puking all over trax. :) So we wanted to go a little bit early so it wouldn't be too cold. It didn't matter, we froze. Okay let me rephrase that. I totally froze! We did end up going about an hour and a half before they turn the lights on. So after Jovin went and played in the snow and threw snowballs at us we went to Burger King and got some dinner. Yum! :) Then we decided to drive by temple square and see the lights. I was NOT going to go walking around again in the cold.
Mayer all bundled up

Pierce all bundled up. Poor kid he really couldn't move. He reminds me of the kid in A Christmas Story.
