Man at Work

So, two Friday's ago our toilet decided to break! (Crap!) So we went the weekend having to manually flush the toilet... (Nice, right?) Luckily Cory has some great connections at work and got us a new, free, efficient toilet. So, last Monday he put on his "Mr. Fix-it" hat and put in a new toilet! He did a GREAT job. The new toilet is pretty cool there are two buttons on the top to flush the toilet. One flush for a light duty, and another flush for a heavy duty.

Cory and the broken toilet.

Cory with a hole in the floor. (the broken toilet is in the tub in the back ground)

Cory showing me how to use the new toilet. (Just kidding, he is putting pressure on the seat so the plumber putty will seal the toilet to the tile.)

Cory laughing at my joke in the previous picture about to use the toilet that way.

A proud Cory standing next to the done deal! And it only took about 6 hours to do.

Nothing Much

Well it has been a long while since we have posted anything. That might just be because not a whole lot has been going on with us.

Although, about a week ago Cory went on a business trip to Wisconsin for 3 days. Man, those were a long three days for me. The whole time Jovin kept crying for Cory, I couldn't sleep without Cory there, and the boys woke up at 5 am both mornings that he was gone. Let's just say we were VERY happy to have Cory come home on Friday. Cory had a lot of fun on his trip though, steak dinners, golfing, a room and bed to himself... you know fun!

I have been playing on our ward softball team. It has been a lot of fun. I'm not the best player, as in I can't hit the ball, but I can throw and catch. At practice the other night I caught the softball with my face. My chin was only bruised for a few days. We had a game the other night and Cory came with the boys to watch and support me, but we had a really bad wind and rain storm so the game was cancelled half way through. It is fun to play down here. We play in the evenings so it is cooler, you know 90 degrees instead of 100, and we play under the lights. It's a lot of fun. It's nice of the Elders to let the Sisters play with them even though we aren't the best.

Well, here are some pictures from the past few weeks of some things that have been happening with our little family...

Mayer was a little put off that I was interrupting his phone call the other day.

This is what happens when you leave a two year old alone for two minutes to go change another siblings diaper.

Picture Time

Mayer Jovin

We went to go and get the boys pictures taken today. Yea! Exciting huh?!?! (Yeah, right!) We just wanted one photo with both of the boys. So we bought matching shirts and we were all ready to go and as soon as we put Mayer in Jovin's lap he freaked out! We tried sitting Mayer next to Jovin and he wouldn't have anything to do with it. So we then decided to have their pictures taken separately. Not what I wanted, but as I am quickly and still learning... I'm NOT the boss. They boys are. We had a pretty hard time just getting Jovin to take a good picture. He was obviously not in the mood to do this today. Mayer did okay. I think the guy that took the pictures wasn't in the mood for two moody little boys today either... He kind of had an attitude. But it's done! We finally have updated pictures of the boys and LUCKILY they are both smiling in the pictures.

Ward Campout

Friday and Saturday we went on our ward camp out. It was a lot of fun. Frustrating at times, but fun. We went to Payson, Arizona. It was about a 2 hour drive to get to the campsite from our house. When we got there the other families came and helped set up our tent. Then Jovin decorated a "family flag".

The Family Flag

Jovin took Cory on a nice little hike up the nearest hill/mountain. (in flip-flops) It got dark and the kids were entertaining Jovin with all their flashlights. They thought it was fun because Jovin would chases the light on the ground like a cat does. Cory made a fire and I got the boys to bed and we stayed up talking with our ward. We have some pretty funny people in our ward.

The sun and the boys were up pretty early Saturday. We did breakfast and then we broke camp and headed on our 2 hour drive home.

Cuteness

So not a lot is going on with us lately. It is monsoon season here and it is pretty humid outside. After not watering the lawn for a week and a half while we were on vacation our lawn literally died. But with all the rain from the monsoons it is nice and green again.

Mayer laughing and being cute as ever.

Summer Utah Trip (post 1)

Well we've been back for a while but I have been sick so that is why it has taken a while to get things posted. (By-the-way I am feeling MUCH better now.) I'm really not in the mood to journal every day and event so this will be just a lot of pictures.
We went up to Utah mainly for the Killpack Family Reunion.

The Pirates are Coming...

The pirates are coming!!! The pirates are coming!!!!
Well in a few days at least! We are really excited to come back up to Utah and see family and friends. (Also to be out of the 112 degree temps we've had lately.)
Anywho, Cory and I went on a date for our anniversary and saw Pirates 3. It was SO good! Well, that weekend we were on a pirates kick and dressed the boys as pirates. Hence the cute pictures.
Can't wait to see you all in a few days!

Guess who is 2!?!

JOVIN!!! This morning we let Jovin open two of his presents so he could enjoy them for most of the day. We gave him a Blue's Clue's DVD, and a golf set. He loves the golf set! I think we may have the next Happy Gilmore.

We watched the Blue's Clue's DVD and as I found out to my dismay... it is 3 hours of continuous Blue's Clue's!!! Jovin of course LOVED it! I on the other hand may have nightmares from it. (Although, I am really excited that he likes it so much.)

When Cory came home from work we opened the rest of the presents from us and the family. He really likes the Cars track set we gave him (which has a circular track and comes with a Lighting McQueen and a Mater that race around it), the books from his grandparents, and his lawn mower from his other grandma.

I can't believe he is two already! He is such a big boy now.

2 Month & 2 Year Check-ups

Well our boys are getting bigger and growing up faster! I got them in on the same day for Mayer's 2 month check-up and Jovin's 2 year check up. They are doing great!

Mayer is now 24 inches long, and 13lbs 10oz!! He is in the 87th percentile for both! What a chunk he is becoming. He is getting those really cute fat rolls that are only cute on babies and not adults.

Jovin is almost 36 inches tall, and 31 pounds!! Whoa! He is also in the 85th percentile for both. He can count to 12, (actually he can go to 20, but his teens all sound the same "uh-teen")and he can say most of the alphabet and recognize the letters. His doctor was impressed by that.

So here is our little post to brag about our wonderful boys. They grow so fast it is great to the enjoy the momentous occasions in their lives. I will always treasure these moments of them so little cause pretty soon their little hands wont fit in my palm anymore.

Pool Party

Okay Caleb here you go...

On Wednesday Jovin had a little play date with his friends. Jack is the same age as Jovin and Katelyn is 5. We had lunch and then went into the backyard to play in the pool. As you can tell from the pictures our lawn is FINALLY perking up. It's not full lush grass yet, but at least it is green and growing.
So the boys would throw water on each other and scream. Then they would take turns sitting next to Katelyn in the pool. Oh, Mayer didn't want to be in the pool so he chilled next to me and Kathie in the shade.

After a while we got tired and went inside and put in Jack and Jovin's favorite movie... CARS! It was cute they would point to the TV and scream "McQueen" and dance along to the music.

It was a fun day.

Who's Afraid of Who...

Well Jovin and Mayer are getting used to each other... but they do have their moments. Hence the next two pictures.

Jovin wasn't too sure about sitting next to Mayer.

Mayer is still a little bit afraid of Jovin's "soft" hands. Luckily he wasn't getting smacked in the head this time.

But just to show that they are happy boys when they aren't next to each other here they are separately.
