Well here is the little guy on the day of his 2 month check up. He is now 12lbs 9oz, and 25 1/2 inches long!!!! He got his shots today and boy was he grumpy!! He finally fell alseep to take a nap and he look grumpy even while he slept. Mom did okay with the shots... mainly cause she wasn't the one getting the shots. Jovin cried (like all babies do...) but Mom was strong and tried to comfort him the best she could. Now a week later Jovin is back to normal. No more grumpiness. Just the happy-go-lucky baby his always is.

Jovin Blessing Outfit
Well yesterday was Jovin's Baby Blessing. Cory did a wonderful job. We were so excited to have our family and friends there to share in this wonderful experience with us. Here is Jovin in his cute little blessing outfit. You can't really see the bowtie very well, but it's there.

Camping Trip 2005
Well we just went on our frist camping trip with Jovin. We went to Heber, Utah for Kuzin's Kampout. (It is a family camping tradition on Cory's side of the family.) It was a lot of fun. Jovin did reall well. It wasn't too cold and he slept most of the night. We made sure of that if you look at the picture above. We didn't get too many bug bites... Jovin - none, Ang - two, and well Cory - too many on his legs to count. For some reason they really liked Cory. So all, in all our first family camping trip was a total blast! We all had fun and can't wait to go again. Of course it will be a lot more fun when Jovin is older.

Monkey Face
Well here is the famous "monkey face" he makes at me during the day.. so that is the nick name I gave Jovin... He's mommy's monkey face and daddy's baby raptor. Jovin makes the coolest sound and Cory thinks it sounds like a raptor.
He is now 5 weeks old and doing great!! Not getting much sleep at night, but what else should you expect with 5 week old.
Too Tired to Play
Well we were on the floor having a lot of fun playing with the bunny... and some one fell asleep... it was 9:00 at night... but still... the bunny wanted to keep playing.

Well we had a fun 4th of July! We went to the summer bowling league that I do with my mother-in-law every Monday. I didn't do so well... Then we went to the Sandy and saw my sister Makayla be in the parade. It was also my mother's birthday.

Jovin Update
Well this first week has been really fun! Not a lot of sleep, but a lot of fun moments. On Tuesday we went to Jovin's first doctors appointment. Unfortunately he has jaundice so we have had to keep him on a belibed. It is a UV bed that he has to stay on all the time except for feeding time and diaper changings. (I wouldn't mind being on the bed and getting a tan, but it is hard to have Jovin on it cause if he gets upset we have to clam him down while still on the bed. He's pretty much strapped to it.) We went back to the doctor on Friday to test his level of bilirubin. First we took him to the scale to have him weighed and we had to take the diaper off to have an acurate weight... as soon as the weight came in at 6lbs 10oz, he pooped.... so we put the diaper on and went back to his exam room to wait for the doctor... as we were cleaning him up and puttig on a new diaper Jovin peed all over himself and the exam table... so we had to really clean him up and get another diaper to put on him. We then had to go to the lab to have them draw more blood so they could test his level for the day and Cory told the nurse that we were there to test his mideclorian levels. (Now only you true Star Wars fans will get that.) The nurse didn't laugh... but Cory and I got a good kick out of it. I think that was the funniest doctors appointment I have ever been to.
We are doing okay today. Jovin's level did go down but not enough. He is still on the belibed, the doctor said that as soon as his poop is yellow we can take him off the bed... so we are hoping for yellow poop. (yeah, we know that is a weird thing to be hoping for... but we have realized weird thing happen when you have kids.) Hopefully our next update wont be as disgusting...

Welcome!
